Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookbook author as well as an Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and aired up to 2020 in 27 seasons. Ina started her career writing nuclear energy policies and budgets to the White House. Though she initially found it fascinating, eventually she stopped her interest. Then she bought the Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food shop. The store was very successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to let it go. After that, she started the first book.
