Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. If Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she replied she regretted having not had an experience like the traditional one at university. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. A prize was given to her for the performance, while the play received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. She won as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters left the series. Moffat picked her to play the role due to her being the most successful in her interactions with Smith and spoke more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the film industry since 1987. But, she's more recognized for her TV shows instead of films. Eva is well-known for her role as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The actress was nominated 2 "Daytime Emmys" in the first role in both shows, as well as getting an opportunity to explore the musical side of her. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and the philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has an infant from the third.
